A sweet delight for a Sunday afternoon.
1- In a large bowl mix: two cups of sifted flour, one large tablespoon of baking powder and two tablespoons of brown sugar.
2- Then add 220 ml of heavy cream (one cup), two tablespoons of brown sugar and three eggs.
3- When the mixture is a homogenous, add three crushed bananas and about half a cup of dates cut in small pieces. If the dates are hard, soak them in lukewarm water for about 15 minutes before hand.
4- Place the mixture in a prepared baking pan (buttered and with some flour). Bake for 60 minutes in 170º C oven.
Note: Try and keep the temperature of the oven on medium. At higher temperatures, the cake may burn since dates are sweet and will cook faster than the rest of the ingredients.
Let the cake cool before slicing it.
