Apple and lime muffins

Just lovely! And the slight tangy taste of the lime makes all the difference.

For twelve muffins
1- In a large bowl mix: one cup of white flour sifted, half a cup of whole wheat flour sifted, one tablespoon of baking powder, 1 cup of cream, two generous tablespoons of brown sugar, 40 gr of melted butter (slightly cooled) and two whole organic eggs.
2- Once the dough has an even consistency (it will be a little bit heavy), add the juice of a lime, a few very thin slices of lime peels (not too many as the taste can be strong) and three organic red apples cut in small pieces.
3- In a prepared muffin baking pan, fill each cup.
4- Bake for 25 min in medium oven (175 º C.). Take the muffins out of the pan as soon as they are baked. Let them cool before serving.
