Pain perdu au four

A different way of making French Toast. This time in the oven. They come out wonderfully fluffy.

For one French baguette
1- Slice the baguette. The thickness is your choice, but the thicker the softer the French Toast.
2- Prepare the baking dish by spreading soften butter. Then take each piece of bread and butter one side. Place it in the dish making sure the buttered side is on top. Try and squeeze the pieces of bread together.
3- In a large bowl, whisk together two eggs, three tablespoon of brown sugar and one and half cup of milk.
4- Pour the liquid in the dish. Cover and keep it in the fridge for at least an hour (or up to 12 hours, meaning you can prepare it the night before and bake it in the morning).
5- Bake in a 200º C oven.
Serve immediately topped with honey and fresh fruits.
