Scallops with ginger, turmeric and honey

I found scallops at the Fish market and I prepared them with a kind of Mediterranean Oriental flavour. As with all of the recipes I make, all the ingredients are fresh and I used the mortar for the ginger, garlic and black pepper.

For 500 gr of fresh scallops:
1- In a bowl mix: fresh ginger root (about 5 cm) crushed in a mortar, three garlic cloves also crushed in a mortar, a teaspoon of cumin, a teaspoon of turmeric, a teaspoon of black pepper crushed in a mortar, two teaspoons of sesame seeds, the juice of one lime, a tablespoon of honey and about half a tablespoon of olive oil.
2- Place the scallops and let them marinate for about 15 minutes.
3- Cook in a pan without adding anything else, about five minutes for one side then turning the scallops over delicately, three minutes more.
Serve hot accompanied by potatoes or rice, and green vegetables of choice.
