Mediterranean fish with a touch of cinnamon, ginger and lemon. It smells divine while cooking!
1- In a large pan place some olive oil and add: some grated cinnamon, a little bit of turmeric, crushed garlic, some grated fresh ginger root, a little bit of cumin, and salt & pepper.
2- Place white fish filets either whole or cut in cubes and make sure they are well covered with the spice mix. Add a lemon cut in thin slices with each slice in half. Mix again and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
3- Place on very low fire and add some sesame seeds (optional), some tomatoes (here I used very small cherry tomatoes cut in half) and fresh herbs (I used rosemary and mint).
3- Cover and let it cook for about 20 minutes (or until done and the fish is flaky). Mix gently from time to time.
I served the fish with white Basmati rice with raisins and a side of broccoli.
