Fried tofu with sesame seeds

A light lunch idea.

1- Unpack the tofu (extra-firm preferably) and let it drain for at least 20 minutes. Cut in medium thick slices. (see the photo above)
2- Coat with sesame seeds and fry in olive oil. Make sure they are well separated, make two batches if you need to. Turn over only once. It takes about 15 minutes for the first side and 10 minutes for the second one.
3- Drain on a paper towel, pat dry the extra oil and serve warm.

I served it for lunch with fresh avocado and Basmati rice cooked with raisins.
