Brioche perdue

This is a very light version (no oil, no butter) of French toast made with brioche. It works with Challah bread as well.


1- Beat together: one large tablespoon of brown sugar with a cup of milk and three eggs.
2- Dip six thick slices of brioche in the mix, and arrange flat in an oven dish, pour the rest of the mixture and sprinkle a little bit of brown sugar.
3- Cook for 25 minutes in a 150 degree oven (low to medium). Serve with honey and plenty of fresh fruits.
