Petits pains au four au chocolat

Little breads with chocolate! Yes, it is chocolate season! Very easy to do.


1- Heat up 7 cl (70 ml) of milk and mix in one envelope of baker’s yeast. Let it stand for five minutes.
2- Meanwhile, melt 25 gr of butter and let it cool.
3- In a large bowl knead by hand one and half cup of flour, one egg, two tablespoons of brown sugar and a pinch of salt.
4- Add the milk very slowly and knead continuously. Add the melted butter and knead for about 10 minutes.
5- Separate the dough into six to eight pieces. Place a square of dark chocolate in each of them and roll them between your hands so they have the shape of a ball.
6- Let them stand for one hour in a baking tray. (I placed the tray in a warm oven with a glass of water. It helps keep the dough soft and it rises nicely).
7- Brush with milk and bake for 12 minutes in a 180º C. oven.
