Mediterranean shrimp

I found some fresh shrimp this morning at this lovely fish shop I go to in San Miguel, and made this delicious dish full of the flavours from the Mediterranean. I simply played with a few spices and fresh ingredients. Make your own spice mix and enjoy!


1- Place the cooked and peeled shrimps in a large pan with a little bit of olive oil on high fire.
2- Add spices and fresh ingredients, and cook for 10 minutes shaking the pan often. I used: crushed garlic, fresh grated ginger root, fresh crushed pepper, cumin, turmeric (curcuma), cinnamon, cilantro seeds, brown sugar (very little), dried thyme and salt.
3- Sprinkle with lemon or lime juice, fresh herbs (I used mint) and serve with white rice and a simple salad of choice (I made one with avocado, mango and red onions).
