Banana bread

A perfect little snack! For this recipe, I looked around, combined a few tips from various recipes and came up with this easy and light one. The bread remains moist and the crust crispy. And if you want, you can add a few cardamom seeds, it comes out really good!

As an alternative to a snack, you can slice it and place the slices in a tightly sealed container and toast them for breakfast the next day. Delicious with homemade jam!


1- In a large bowl mix, two cups of sifted flour, two teaspoons of baking powder, half a teaspoon of salt, half a cup of brown sugar, one quarter cup of milk, two eggs, and three tablespoons of melted and cooled butter. You can  add a few cardamom seeds at this point.
2- Mix in either three large bananas or six small Dominican bananas (the sweet kind) crushed.
3- Place in a prepared baking pan and brush with milk so that it gets a nice golden color.
4- Bake for 50 minutes in a 180º C. oven. Slice once it has cooled down.
