Oh these were good! And the cardamom brought in the sweet flavour of Persia and the Middle East to breakfast.
1- In a large bowl mix: one hand half cups of flour, two teaspoons of baking powder, a pinch of salt, two eggs, a pot of heavy cream (200 ml), one and half cups of whole milk, a tablespoon of strawberry syrup, one tablespoon of olive oil and the seeds of seven cardamom pods..
[The strawberry syrup is the liquid left over from making strawberry jam. If you don’t have any just use a tablespoon of honey.]
2- Mix with a hand mixer on high speed and let it rest for 15 minutes.
3- Bake on a pan turning them over only once.
4- Serve immediately with fresh fruits (here mango) and strawberry syrup or honey. Enjoy!
